"Comfort Food for the Culinary Connoisseur" by Judith A. Sperry

Hutch's Restaurant 1375 Delaware Avenue Buffalo, NY 14209 (716) 885-0074
If you seek satisfying fare in a contemporary setting, reserve your appetite and book a reservation at Hutch’s restaurant.  Culinary connoisseurs will relish in Hutch’s menu featuring unique interpretations of gourmet comfort food.
A signature hors devours on Hutch's small plate menu is the eggplant Napoleon; a strata of crisp eggplant, house-made mozzarella, and ripened beefsteak tomatoes drizzled with balsamic vinegar.  Those who have a tolerance for heat should opt for the Thai seasoned calamari or Jalapeno peppers stuffed with Monterey Jack cheese & chicken.
Seafood aficianados will be pleased to learn that seared sesame encrusted Yellow fin tuna and grilled jumbo prawns are served with linguine sautéed in olive oil, garlic, and Parmigiano-Reggiano.  If you have the fortune of dining on Hutch’s outdoor terrace during the summer, you may encounter sautéed soft shell Maryland crabs embellished with lemon citron butter.
Sustenance and familiarity reside in the New York strip steak or the dry rubbed bison ribeye.  If you prefer bold flavors and rich sauces, the Blackened Angus filet is served with a decadent cabernet sauce and tangy Maytag blue cheese. Serious gastronomes should indulge in the veal rib chop stuffed with fontina cheese, encased in prosciutto, and roasted in a savory sage au jus.  Do not forfeit buttermilk onion rings, portabella fries, and mashed redskin potatoes served à la carte.
No meal at Hutch's is satisfactory without a sweet finale!  The pastry chef’s almond infused lace tuile cookie cup cradling tart berries, sweet mangoes, and homemade whipped cream is worth the additional calories.
